Default Pulling Question

I know this will probably sound dumb, but has anyone taken a super frame and put a gear rear end in it (108, 1200 or similar) and then put 26's on the back and smaller tires (16-6.5 or similar) on the front and used it for pulling? Wouldn't it give it more leverage to keep the front end down? Once again sorry I just had to ask.

I would think so but then again i dont have a puller. On the other hand it would make a mean looking cub out of it! Almost a IH wheatland like tractor!

Have seen a 482 that someone put a gear drive in and does great. I use 3.50-6" front tires and 26-12-12 on the back on my 102 and does great for me, you just need to get your puller balance so it just keeps the front tires just barely touching the ground or only a few inches above the ground, just don't want it to stand straight up with you, you want go as far on the wheely wheels all the time

buddy of mine did this and I would advise you not too, The frame is way to heavy and he cant get it to hook up right on the track. You also have to drill the front bolt holes for the tranny if you really want it to be a super if not all the holes are already there but they are in the same location as a normal 82 which would put the wheel base the same as a normal 82. But his biggest problem is the weight , it took both of us to pick up the bare frame and move it as opposed to only one person can pick up a normal 82 the extra 3 inch adds alot of weight and there is extra frame braces that add more weight.

Adam, send David aka iluvtrks a PM he's friends do this all the time with pullers and plow day tractors.

Thanks everyone, just was wondering aloud. We already have a Limited Pro Stock pulling tractor and a M pulling tractor. That's about all we can handle

Same here , there are guys around here that do it on their pullers. You are allowed to move the front axle (x) number of inches on a stock frame. So with a super frame they get the extra length plus move the front axle flush with the front plate. They look pretty mean.
