Expanded my garden this year
was only doin a small plot next to my garage/shed but last winter early this spring they tore the house next to mine down and I was able to use the empty lot as my expanded garden in exchange for upkeep of the surrounding lawn
I had to remove about a ton or two of large boulders/rocks used to make the foundation of the house. They had buried them about 2-3 inches deep. It was a slow process but I think I have the lions share gone you can see a partial pile of them in one of the pics that is the 3rd pile first two were 2 to 3 times bigger I have about 50 tomato plants, 3 rows of beans ( top crop), and 3 rows of corn (bi-color), spinach, 45 pepper plants both sweet and hot , around 90 onion sets, broccoli, cabbage, leaf lettuce, cauliflower, zucchini, sunflower, cukes, and melons Here is a link to my images didnt want to burn up bandwidth to post them all here http://imageshack.us/g/442/img00568o.jpg/ For some reason it appears to show all my images not just the ones in the album so enjoy my cub pics aswell Its a work inprogress |

you might want to get the soil tested . planting close to a place where a house stood
Lead paint chips or other chemicals would likely be in the soil |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
