I'm still collecting parts to fix up my latest cub a QL1450. That is none runable at this time.
I did fix the deck, 44" it it is ready to go. I have a hood and side covers now.
I have to swedge the oil dipstick tube in, because it is loose and flopps around. then degrease the engine and surounding are. ect, ect.

morning .....
thanx for all the greetings
i finally got the 1641 home and did some cuttin with it . well .... i'm a little disappointed with the deck, because ti clogged up too easy, so, i took a good look at the underside of the deck and it does need some TLC to say the least. i went and got some new blades because they were the original ones . now for the surface of the underside, is there any recommedations on what to do so it does not clog up so quickly? i did check on a new deck shell WOW .. 800+, so that is not an option at this time.
i have a idea and i'll run it by the members here.. i'm thinking if i use some of the ''rust reformer'' product, and then some high gloss black paint and then wax the heck out of it maybe i can get this summer out of it and then i'll think about getting a new deck next season... any and all suggestions or ideas r welcome and appreicated.

thanx and to all have a safe and great holiday

dont' forget to thank a Vet.

regards

i am also new to the cub cadet family. i sold my jd 212 and bought a cub 1250. the jd never ran right and everyone i know says cub's are the best. so I figured i give a cub a shot. the paint on the 1250 is a bit rough and the previous owner sanded and primed the top of the hood to keep it from rusting. I would love to repaint the tractor and possibly restore it as time permits. I am in need of a few attachments which i hope i can find over time. i need the tiller and either the snow thrower or snow blade. any help would be welcomed thanks

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
