I use Purple Power and Dawn dish washing detergent for degreasers. I buy them both at the local dollar store.Elbow grease and 1500psi pressure washer to scrub it off. I am trying to really get away from petroleum based cleaners. My garage is in the basement of my house so I am extra careful when using chemicals

Green 4 acres the dishwasher idea has me thinking I could pick up a used dishwasher and hook it up in the garage to use as a parts washer. Hmmm wonder how that would work?

I do not recommend either over the other, but, you can see they work differently.

Both remove the oil from your skin, causing all types of problems.

Caustic based have a hard time with heavy (thick) buildup.

The caustic based cleaners MUST be water rinsed after to remove/neutralize the cleaner.

The petroleum based will evaporate, no water required.

Actually, I prefer a 3500 psi pressure washer to either of the above.

It is easier on my skin!!
Nitrile gloves at almost any store. Napa, Harbor Freight, ect. I use them at work and home. It will keep you safe.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
