Case IH Paint
How is the color match of the Case IH federal yellow and Case IH 935 white? I will be painting my 1450 and was wondering what paint to use. Just wondering if any of you have used it on your tractor.

They won't match the cub cadet paint because the cub cadet paint is the new colors. The CaseIH paint is actually the correct color. I am going to use it on my 107 when I repaint it. (Plus it is a third the price of cub cadet paint!)

Are you using hardener also? I've sprayed Case IH 2150 red with Valspar hardener with good results. The dealer I buy from has the hardener on the shelf next to the paint. I've heard valspar make's the paint for Case IH.

My paint guy recommended 8:4:1 mix, 1 being the hardener.
I have used that mix 3 times, excellent results!! NAPA gave me the measuring cups free when I bought their reducer. The reducer I use is Martin Senour Cross/FIRE, either 233 or 234 depending on the temperature that day. It dries 10X faster than naptha reducer, and is almost impossible to get a run with Cross/FIRE. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
