Default Got me a sandblaster...

IT took a lot of running around and phone calls and the better part of the day but I tracked down a sandblaster and sand so I can start on my new wheels. Didn't get a big fancy one just a gun and hose so I can drop it in a 5 of sand and blast..Got less than $40 in the gun and 2 50# bags of sand. Going to go try it out in just a few minutes...

Just don't use silica sand...the dust is not good for your lungs.

Picked up a small one at Harbor Freight some time ago and I bough a good supply of the walnut shell media. This is safer for aluminum parts.

Congrat's Earl! I have a bench-top cabinet blaster from Harbor Freight..It is very nice to have around!

How big is your air compressor? We have about a 20 gallon, 5 HP..And it still doesn't quite keep up with it sometimes.

I have a twin stack 4 gal 2 hp and it does an awesome job keeping up, super fast recovery time. I wish the balster had a smaller nozzle though I think it would strip stuff off a lot easier, but then I was trying to blast 45 year old industrial paint that had been baked and painted two or three times. I used the black beauty which does not cut like sand but I cant find my respirator so I strayed away from it

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
