New Edge For Snowblade
Does anybody know where to get a new cutting edge for a 42" snow blade? Would it be available at dealer? I got a new blade for my 1450. It could use some work. The PO let it sit on ground in weeds and bottom of blade itself has a few holes. I'll patch with some new metal and sandblast and paint it. The cutting edge is a little beat up but maybe can be straightened out if I can't find one or if pricey. I basically got it for free so if I do a little work to it I still got a good deal.

I just by a 2" x 48" piece of 1/4 flat stock and drill the holes to match the one I remove. I use it one season then flip it over and use it another season. So I put a new one on every two years. I drill the holes just large enough so the squre part of the carriage bolt will wedge in when I tighten the mounting bolts with a 3/8 impact wrench. May not be correct but it works for me for 10 bucks or so.

+1 regarding smoker62's comment. I picked up 2 8' lengths of 2" stainless flat stock from my local steel supply a couple years back cheap as it was considered scrap to them. Then went to Fastenall and picked up some stainless carriage bolts.....works beautifully, and was a fraction of the cost of a nos or custom made replacement.
I've been using one on my 54" blade mounted on my 1211 for the last 2 winters with almost no wear, and no rust. Just put a new one on my 42" blade mounted on my 127 as well.. Jeff (teet)
