New Yellow Fever sufferer from Connecticut
My name is Michael, I am 32, from Connecticut and I have contracted the Yellow Fever... I take my regular doses of CC104 daily, soon to be stepped up to CC106...
More seriously (less seriously?) My father owns several Cubs in various stages of life, my brother owns one, and now I own one. Dad's runner is the 104. He bought it for $100 and was told "it ran, but now it doesn't." We changed the points, coil, gas, and cleaned the carburetor and now it runs like a charm. The only time we've had problems starting it was when one of the grand children left the key on and drained the battery through the coil overnight, but even then we wrapped a strap around the PTO and pull started it!! My brother's "runner" is a 125 with a loader on it. I say "runner" because the loader is currently not mounted and the hydrostatic drive needs the bypass valves replaced. Other tractors in the yard include my brother's son's 104, which is half stripped, my father's 70 which is 2/3 stripped, and another 104 that was badly beaten as a child and now is reduced to a pile of parts on a bookshelf in the garage... The newest addition to the 'family' is my 106, which I am in the process of buying for a whopping $200. It got caught in a barn fire. The left-rear tire is melted and the upholstery burned off the seat. The left rear fender is crumpled a little and the paint is gone from the fire. I didn't see any other signs of fire damage, although the left front tire may also be damaged. The coil and wiring, fuel lines and filter and tank all look like they were shielded from harm. There is an intact mower deck and all of the 3-point hitch looks like it is intact. I will know more about it next week when I actually get to haul it home, but for $200, I couldn't pass it up. In the coming weeks or months, I may also buy (from the same guy as above) a 102. It seems like it is all there, but just the tractor, no implements or attachments. Also $200. I also have a couple other projects in line, a radio-controlled all-electric 1/4 scale pulling tractor, and a radio-controlled all-electric 1/4 scale Ford pickup. I may post pictures of those on here if anyone shows interest. Thanks for letting me join, Michael from Connecticut.e

This is the tractor I THOUGHT my father was putting together to be a bone-stock competition puller but now he is talking about keeping this one as-is and building one of the others, instead. This is also the condition he got it in, with the exception of the rear wheels and tires, which cost about 4 times as much as the tractor did :P Original wheels were blasted and powder-coated. Front wheels were supposed to get done too but Dad lost contact with the guy who was doing the powder-coating.
