Is there anything to do to this seat other than replace it? Any one ever recovered one?

I have recovered a few. It can be done. If that's the style with the ~1" wide plastic edge that retains the cover, it'll be a three-ring circus to put the new one on. 2 people required.

Tape up the bad spots and put one of those cloth Cub covers on it. $20.00 plus or minus.

You have to drill new mounting holes in the bottom but it is pretty good for the price. I added the armrests to mine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
