That's a good question. I've asked it before and haven't had luck with an answer. They were only made for one year. I was once told that they were the lowest production SGT as well as diesel. Curiously following this topic...............

They are said to be the lowest production SGT. The funny thing is I have seen more 1772s on the market for sale (ebay, CL, etc.) as well a forum members turning them up over the last few years than 1572s. The 1572 was a 1987/88 production tractor so only two years there. I would be interested to see those production numbers as well if someone has them. I actually bought my 1772 locally only about 5 miles from home.

I found my in Central Illinois by the folks house at a J*hn D**re dealer. I guess they had it priced to sell cause after I told em I'd take it, they had three other calls offering twice as much. They actually admitted they should have done their homework on pricing it alittle better. Now if they had just painted in green..............

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
