Default 2 stage blower on a NF?
Has anyone done it? I am doing my cab build right now (in custom section) and I do have a qa42 for the tractor, but I was really thinking of a 2 stage by next winter, or this winter if I can make it work soon enough.

IH did not offer a Snowblower for the NF Cubs. However, with a cutting torch, welder, some metal, and ingenuity, I would think someone could fabricate one to work.

Since a snowblower takes more horse power (HP) than a snowthrower to operate, I would suggest installing this on the highest HP NF Cub you can get.

that would be the 147 if you are lucky enough to find one.

I do have a 147 and it might be getting a kubota engine here soon. I have looked at the 450 style blower and think it could work without too much work. I just am having zero luck finding one locally.

With almost 16,000 units made, it's not that hard to find a 147.

I'd love the find a 450 blower as well, but them things are pricey! Can't believe you can't find one locally in warm, sunny, tropical North Dakota.

I use a HI design blower 190-364-100 i think is the model # it has two long arms that go to brackets on rearend then hooks to mower lift only thing you have to mod. is the mule drive peace you have to make it narrow.

i would think a 450 snow blower would be too much. If a 450 weighs any thing near as much as my 451 which is too heavy for one person to lift it would wear on the front end of the tractor. I have my 451 on a 2084 and it handles it well but it is a cyclops 20 hp hydro drive. I also have a snow thrower on a 102 with a creeper and it wears out wheel bearings.

A 70 with deck. 2 102s both with 42 in decks, one with creeper, 1 36 inch IH snow thrower CW36, 1 42 inch IH blade. 149 with mower. 2072 w 3 pt hitch, Johnny bucket, 60 in mower, 451 blower. Jacobson GT 10 with mower. DR Lawn vac tow behind,Home made lawn roller. Brinly cart, 2 off brand carts and 1 home made cart.
