Me So Studly
I wanted to use chrome lug nuts on all my CCCs and my 1872 got in line today. The studs are 7/16 coarse thread and since I couldn't find any nuts with coarse thread I looked into changing out the studs and Napa had replacments that were suitable. Napa part #641-1267 and the nuts are from Napa too, 7/16X20.
 I first sprayed the head of the stud with penetrating oil and then with the nut on the end of the stud gave it about 30 seconds with the air hammer and then 2-3 whacks with a dead-blow knocked her out. One thing I noticed is that the old stud was pressed tighter to the rotor than the hub so I kept the other four studs bolted up tight to avoid damaging the rotor.  After removing the stud I drilled out the hole with a 15/32 bit and used the new nut to draw up tight the new stud.  Studs, nuts, and bit costs right at $45. And there ya go. Scott

Are those lug nuts cone shaped or just flat on the end that butts up against the wheel? If they are just flat, you with wallow out the holes in the wheel. You need cone shaped lug nuts to center the wheel to keep it from moving around the studs.
Otherwise, cool deal. I'm suprised the original studs were coarse thread.

They are beveled nuts.
