Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the comments!!! I'm trying to catch up to Oak and his army of smokers, but that'll never happen. All kidding aside, I'm pretty excited to add it to the collection. Oak, it may be just held on by the spring. Still on the trailer and too freakin' cold to mess with it. I'll look at it closer after it warms up. It makes one wonder if they did use it to pull more air to increase cooling capacity. Looks like it's been on there quite a while. Lew, If you're talking about the Orange 'Bota, I did pick it up a couple months ago, so I guess I technically have four smokers of the 'Bota type, 3 three cylinders and 1 four cylinder. On the 1772, I've had it for probably three years. Found it at a Jane Doe dealership for a song (obviously the wrong color and didn't know what they had, good for me ). The 1772 has nice original paint and 500 hours on the clock. Need to clean her up and add some new decals..........

Those wheatlands do look tough with the big shoes on the back. I could tell it was a wheatland by the lights in the grille, backset front axle and it says International on the side sheet. All I have now days is a low hour 504 gas for grading the lane and bush hog'n. I'll find a deisel cub someday.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
