Although, you are right, the Farmall Letter Series are better tractors overall. I really have no need for a larger tractor other than snow, when it is 30" like this.

Hey Boddy
I feel your pain. I well remember that kind of snow back the days when I lived in CT. This was my answer to the problem.

Come to think of it, now that your in VA, you probably don't need that tractor for snow... ![]() I am just glad we didn't loose power from this storm.

This what I used for the big snow on the driveway from H--L prior to the Bota. If it was too deep for the 1210 I'd use the blower and then do the clean up with the 1210.

Since I live on a few hills it's tough for me to get an accurate measurement. Some parts had 15" some parts had 26" and some snow drifts were 3.5'. With that said, it was a bit much for the cub. I pulled out the blower. Here are a few pics.

It took me a while to get these up, but the baby wasn't so happy last night. Anyways, after 3 goes at plowing, the yard is passable. the only thing the poor little cub couldn't handle was the snowbank at the end of the driveway, which was taller than me. don't have any action pics, but I do have during and after storm pics.
Here's the house just as the first wave of heavy snow was hitting. ![]() ![]() My Jeep with an unhappy face the next morning after the storm ![]() one of my apple trees holding on to its snow ![]() After view of the house, I particularly like the smoke-stained snow frozen to the chimney ![]() my poor van! ![]() The only casualty of the storm on my property, the tent shed collapsed during the first round of plowing. ![]() Baby Matilda helping my plow! ![]() Letting the snow melt off after a long couple days of plowing. what a great little tractor! ![]() ![]() hope everyone out there made it through ok!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
