13 tooth pinion
I have to replace my top pinion on my puller and was wondering will a 13 tooth work with the stock bow gear.Where it comes with a stock 12 tooth.Will the 13 tooth mesh just fine thanks

Current tractor my son and i have 1991 wheelhorse 520h 60"deck 48"snow blower w/ onan 20 hp 1980 whelhorse b-82 need restore 1976 simplicity 7116 all restored waiting for a new motor (my sons tractor) 1967 sears super 12 (my sons tractor) 1972 Cub cadet 108 restored w/ complete motor rebuild 5 years ago

the 12t top shaft is a crown tooth gear the 13 has the same tooth at the bull gear. speeds every thing up almost a tooth. for instance with the 12t input if you have a 19t 2nd gear which is 55.9-1 final drive ratio . regearing to a 20t 2nd would give you a 51.5-1 ratio but keeping the 19 and going to the 13t input would give you 51.6-1. it also saves you some money. if you go with the 3 in driveshaft coupler in place of the stock one you can actually change back and forth between the 12t or 13t input pretty quick . you see allot of pullers cut openings in the top of the tunnel on their tractors or make them removable for easy access. on my tractor the tunnel is removable takes maybe 15 min to switch inputs.
