belly lift lock issue
front of the mule drive bracket never looked to be all the way back to the bolts sticking out of the frame, but it seemed locked up front and the mower worked.I followed the manual and removed the deck. as soon as the rear pins were pulled, the front mule drive bracket plopped off. After puling the deck out, i lifted it up, ans tried to lock it in (pushing down on the locking bar). It would shut, then pop open again...here are pics
red shows where it locks on, pops open green just shows where the frame bolts on where the mule bracket slides over. to me it seems like it wont go back enough, but was working? here is a side shot so you can see if its all good in the rear thanks for helpin a newb |

The sides of the mule drive slide into the Frankenstein bolts on either side of the tractor, your mule drive is hung by the arrows in yellow. If it keeps falling off the springs are broken on the QA latch

Yeah and if that doesn't help with the bar in the up position bolt it on. Mine is bolted on for added re assurance; I also bolt on my winter blade even though I don't have to; I'm not changing them every 5 seconds.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
