I installed a snowblade today
I know I haven't put a post up in a while, truth is everything has been going good on all my cubs!!! my boss gave me a bolens snowblade which in no means would fit on my cub "naturally" so over the course of a week my dad and I fabbed up some brackets and a lift bar and I finished it tonight. it's not field tested yet but it lifts and lowers perfect!!!! jeff

thanks guys for all the comments, I really appreciate them!!! my dad is getting on up in the years (78) and since this January, has had to sit with mom on a constant daily basis due to her having a pretty nasty stroke. he's been showing me machine shop skills since 82 and just in the past few years I've actually paid "closer" attention to them. so this past week, I've been schooled and drilled in class. sorry for the rambling on..... I field tested it this morning in the cotton field, it does alright for 1-it has rained constantly since thur/fri. 2-it has the original turf tires with NO traction and 3-I NEED WEIGHT ON THE REAR END!!!! 2 and 3 will be dealt with Monday morning!!!! thanks again!!!!!!!!!! jeff

That looks pretty good
 I have a suggestion, either make another blade mount that matches the width of the frame or take a piece of pipe that your pin slides thru and make a notch for the plow bracket to go into. ( sitting on the tractor ) if you come against something solid, that pin will bend and you'll be using the "universal adjective" to get it back out.

thanks jeff!!! I know what you mean. it's not really done yet. we both got our thinking caps on for what we wanna do about that. still got some ideas but for right now, i'm only going to be back dragging with it so if I bend the rod i'll just torch it off and turn some more rod down. I have a pile of gravel that's perched on the side of my drive that I can't get to to push it on my drive. jeff
