Im with you 4speed I got the same Compressor from Tractor supply. The thing is awesome for the price. I have sanded and painted cars, boats and big tractors and you never run out of air. Before getting the IR one I used 2 harbor freight 10 gal compressors in tandem when painting.

I went with the Ingersoll Rand 60 gallon Industrial air compressor, vertical tank, 5 hp. 2 stage, and couldn't be happier with it. I see now they are about $200 more than two years ago. Sears was having a sale at that time, right around now with the presidents day sale.
I used to have to stop and let my old one catch up while DAing and sandblasting, no more. I figured it would be my last one, and wanted something good for a change. Rubber mounted it to the floor, added 50 more feet of hose, and the DA, air grinder, air sander, die grinder and drill couldn't work any better, and they all suck a lot of air, and the compressor works without a hitch.
Good luck, and happy shopping

Quincy is absolutely the best way to go!

My opinion... Buy some cheap junk Harbor Freight compressor (like my 12? 13? Gallon, which has actually been just fine for over 5 years now) and save your pennies for a Quincy.

I hadn't considered the idea of running TWIN 110V $100 china compressors for extra volume before.... That's not a bad idea!

Running twins is virtually impossible, unless you rewire for both to run off one pressure switch.

I bought a 30 gallon tank, and put it at the end of a 100 foot hose, and have WAY more air volume, and almost no moisture because the air cools before it gets to the 30 gallon tank. I get lots of moisture in the second tank!!

I have a belt drive Speedaire from Grainger. It is a Super compressor.

Actually, if you tie the tanks together with say, a 1" line the will operate together even though they are separate. And I've also done a second volume tank like you did..... with the same result!!

What r u going to use your compressor for? Look at the tools you'll be using and their cfm needs and match the compressor to that. Cfm is the most important. If you plan on using a da that needs 14cfm @ 100psi and your compressor only provides 10, your going to be waiting for it to catch up a lot. If you plan on painting, check the needs of our gun also. I got by with a 60 gallon sanborne single stage for many years, but found an old speedaire/champion for sale locally. It's an 80 gallon 2 stage compressor. It provides around 17 cfm @ 175 psi. The sanborne was around 11 @ 90 psi. In addition, the sanborne had a motor that turned at 3750 rpm compared to the champion at 1725. That means quieter, cooler, and less moisture.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
