Replacing 125 drive shaft
Well I got my drive shaft today from rweaver. I started on it almost right away. It wasnt to hard to pull the rear end on the tractor but putting it back together was a bit more challenging. I had to get my wife out there to run the jack while I was lining everything back up. Got the shaft in place and the rear end bolted back up and in place. Tomorrow all I have to do to finish is the couple linkages and bolting the drive shaft to the rear end. I will post pictures of the drive shaft on here tomorrow when finished.
Thank you rweaver for helping me out with the drive shaft.

I'll be doing the same thing here in a bit. I got a 125 a few weeks ago. After I got it home, I noticed that someone put a bolt in the driveshaft where it slips into the flywheel cup. Probably didn't have the right part, and so they improvised. Now both the cup and the driveshaft have a lot of wear and need to be replaced soon.
Pics would be appreciated

It seems like NF hydro's are the hardest to work on.My Dad has a 105,I am putting a new hydro fan on it.I pulled the hood, grill and engine off and winched up the front and stood it on it's rear wheels.I think it is a lot easier to work on this way.I can sit on a milk crate and work on the driveshaft.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
