Thanks guys. I need all the encouragement I can get. My ADD typically gets me 90% through a project before I go to something else. I am determined on this one though. ALVY, thanks for your interest. I do my own work. I typically take on projects like this to learn something I didn't know. This typically ends up with me learning from my friend who is a member of the forum, JaynJeep. This project started as a rust hole in the gas tank and a need to learn to solder. No more hole led to a complete rebuild and what you see above. I didn't turn the Crankshaft journal because it was within tolerances. I didn't see any point in wasting good metal. I did face the counterweight to add extra weight for balance. I used the kit from kirkengines.com. Verdict is still out on how well it decreased vibration since I haven't finished assembly of the tractor.

Default what pressure do you use in the cabinet

She is looking great Stephen.I was wondering what kind of pressure do you use in your blasting cabinet? And do you use plain sand? My compressor isn't doing such a good job anymore.I use 125 psi and my sand gets reused often.
You need some headlites on the 125,maybe you'll get lucky on this site? Paul

Thanks Paul and everyone else. I use primarily glass beads in my blasting cabinet. Tractor Supply seems to have the cheapest price on them that I can find. I have been using about 60-80psi for the glass beads. Mcmaster.com has a good chart on working psi for different media. Search their products for blasting media then click on the "more about media" link closer to the top. I don't know what to tell you about the compressor. I used to just use a 5hp electric 2stage compressor with an 80 gallon tank. I am on my third motor in 10 years. I have now plumbed a 10hp 2stage compressor with a 30gallon tank together with the other. I run both of them at the same time when I have a lot to blast. They usually hold up as long as I can stand at the cabinet. The gas compressor will run full bore and the electric acts as a backup and runs occasionally for 5 minutes or so. I did find a set for headlights for the 125. They are the newer style for, I think, the 147 with the square bezels. I plan to disect them and use the original panel to make a "correct" round faced light panel. I will see how that goes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
