Yes, there are people who make them. Porch Electric is a recommended source from us here at OCC. You can find a link to their homepage in our "Resources" section under the heading of "Cub Cadet Parts Sources"

To save you the trouble of searching and looking here is a link to their E-Bay webpage and the harness you are looking for......... E-Bay.

What is wrong with your harness? It takes quite a while to replace one. Can it not be repaired?

Give this guy a try.

Mike Lamar's Wiring Harnesses

rustypete@integrity.com

You'll need the serial numbers for your tractor and the engine and probably the spec number for the engine.

My harness was so butchered, it was impossible to even attempt to buzz it out. I got the wire harness schematic, and worked from there to make my own. I drew up my own schematic . Bypassing ALL the functions that run threw the PTO switch. I know it's all for safety but I don't like that the whole tractor relies on a correctly functioning PTO switch. Besides, I'm a big boy , I am conscious of making sure the 'spinning' parts are off before getting off.

Hi:

Yes, Mike's harness was great on my 1650. I contacted him and Ii was told by him, that he doesn't do above the 1650. The other place I'm really not pleased with. I bought and paid for a harness on Thursday. I sent message that I was willing to pay extra for overnight and nothing, no response. Sorry for the rant but I need this. Thank you all.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
