Allisboy45,
When they mentioned about the exhaust. These heavier vertical mounted exhausts have been known to crack the block due to the vibrations and extra mass of the pipe and muffler. There is a thread about stacks on here and the though is to add an additional brace from the stack back to the top of the head to improve the stability and reduce stresses. Other Cub owners with stacks may want to chime in. (I added bracing on my 147R exhaust build) And you may want to post a close up of your stack in that thread, because it looks good! Regards, Chris

Thanks. I found the kit on ebay. The guy that makes them usually sells them for John Deere 110's but also makes them for narrow frame cubs now. I talked to him and ordered it. They are built very well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
