Thumbs up Welcome To Only Cub Cadets!

Glad you joined! We're quite the enthusiastic bunch, whether you have an IH Cub Cadet, or a MTD Cub Cadet, rest a sure you will find great help and resources here at OCC!

Nice 73! These round-fender classics are absolutely amazing! Should the mighty little 7-banger go down,.... in the mean time a IH Cub Cadet-specific Kohler 10hp K241, or a Kohler 12hp K301 will drop right in....no questions asked, which is a part of what makes these narrow frame garden tractors such an excellent platform to work with!

Hope to see what's in-store for your "new" garden tractor!

Welcome to the best Cub Cadet Club around. Mower decks can be found reasonably priced.

One of our members here (Jeff in PA) makes an excellent Brinly Sleeve Hitch adapter kit for Cub cadets. I don't have a hitch kit for my 800 cadet, but members that have them are very pleased.

Again, welcome, put on the coffee and stay awhile.

Regards. Cubby guy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
