What year 1050? There were two, one made in 1989 and one made in the 200x's I believe.
If you want a blade for the one made in 1989, any wide from blade will do from previous Cubs. Otherwise, I'll leave the advice to the pro's on the newer equipment.

Good tractor, I've got one as well. A rare one, at that! Got any pics of it you can share? It's only fair for our help

Pics I can provide, I just tore it down last night to replace the clutch. So the front end is off. Only the second time had to do it, so not to bad considering it's 25 years old. Had thought about getting a new garden tractor, but they just don't make them like they used to.photo.jpg

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
