Just wondering how many of you out there are from CT
I joined quite awhile ago, but i am not on the forum so much. I guess this is partly because i am going to school and have homework and im busy a lot. I may be one of the younger Cub Cadet enthusiast, cuz i am only 17, but i love tractors and i own 3 of them, so a lot of my money has gone into buying these tractors lol. I have a 1967 Ford garden tractor, i got it as a plow tractor because it was only $160 so i couldn't beat that. My fist Cub Cadet though was given to me when i was 13. This was my 1974 Cub Cadet 86. That is when i got hooked on Cub Cadets. I just love them. My newest member of the family is my Cub Cadet 122!. It was on a back road and it had a for sale sign on it and it was less than a mile from my house. So I went back home grabbed the truck and trailer and went to get her. The tractor was $200 and it came with a 52" deck, and the rear PTO drive belt attachment. Now the only problem is i need to rebuild the motor, but when it was running the belt kept twisting itself off and i don't know why, but anyway that's my story and ya hello everyone.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
