Default New in East Central Georgia

Hey Guys, This is Matthew. I'm new here. It's a long story, but my adventure in the Cub Cadet world is a little different. My dad has an Agricultural Repair Business. As a boy I was the resident small engine mechanic. I worked on a few Cubs along the way. But what really got me started is that about a year ago or so someone gave me a CC 129. I wanted to get it going for some time, but just didn't have the time or the need. About 2 months ago I did. I must even credit my brothers, who don't even own CC's. One owns a 1974 Wheel Horse C-160 and this winter he has embarked on redoing everything on it. About the same time, another brother got a cheap 1966 Sears (I don't remember the model), and is working on fixing it up. Then my last brother got a 1974 JD 110 with a tiller and is working on fixing it up. So it was time to do showdown with the CC 129. Anyway, I'm excited, and I look forward to meeting everyone here.
BTW, I feel like I'm kind of a loner here in this part of the country. I would be interested in knowing some folks from Georgia or South Carolina who also own Cubs.
See ya soon.
Matthew

Well I guess we will all have to man up and help you win this challenge. Can't have a fellow Cub owner getting beat by the lessor brands. Post your questions in this section and you'll get plenty of help.

Thanks to all who have replied. I, like every other new member, must say "Thank You" for having me. I hope I can be as much help and support to everyone else as I'm sure you all will be to me. I want to get some pics of the 129 posted asap, but I am busy, so be patient as it may take a little til I find time to get it done. I look forward to interacting with everyone

Matthew

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
