4-speed transmission
I'm installing a 4-speed trans and the gears on the bottom shaft near the back of the housing doesn't quite clear the casting for the top bearing. It's says some grinding may be needed for clearance and was wondering if the casting is what I'm supposed to grind or if I should try something else to make it clear. I do have the 4-speed spacer kit.

you do have to grind the back of the case out around the needle bearing for the top shaft to get the top sliding gears to go far enough back to fully engage the lower gears. how much depends on where your pinion depth is set. Make sure that is set first
