Default Front End Loader , help

Im building a PF engineering loader for my 582 it has a 18 hp B&S twin 2

on the pump I need for the loader, do I need a right or left hand rotation?

I picked up a EATON 26007 RZJ pump at the Portland show. I wasn't sure what the pump was, I downloaded the PDF and see it will handle up to 3500 psi. And is a right hand rotation. So im guessing that is correct.
Once I get the clutch off , I can build a mount and couple it right to the engine shaft.

I should have got a few pumps from the guy. I just looked online at the cost of this pump.
$250.00ish I paid $25.00 for new /old stock

I'm going to try my hand at building a pf loader as well. Too bad you didn't get a few of those pumps. Did you already get the plans for the loader?

No plans yet. I talked to a guy at work and he said we could draw one up . He is our engineer / cad draftsman.
The 2 loader arms will be one tube, cut on a plasma table. Its more work doing this but will look tons better then 2 tubes welded together and then plated.
With the plasma cut parts I can put the cylinder mounts in the tubing.
I take my 582 into work sometime soon for him to measure it up.

One thing you have to look out for on pumps is whether they are meant to be coupled inline with the drive motor or if they are safe to be belt driven. The inline coupled pumps cannot handle the side load of being belt driven. They don't have a ball bearing on the input shaft, usually just a bronze bearing.

i think you should have it belt driven with a clutch. in the winter you may have a hard time getting the engine running having the pump coupled right to the engine. moving 30* hydraulic oil puts quite a load on it. when i had my KW loader on my 1872 id have to let the engine warm up for at least 3-4 minutes before engaging the pump other wise it would stall. thats just my experience.

I have a set of plans for the loader and it gives all the part numbers for what you will need. He has it set up with belt driven pump for ease of winter starting. But I have seen a few that are direct coupled and they work fine.
