I have a 1650 and a 1250 that both have electric PTO's that wont engage when I flip the switch. The one on the 1650 I was told would work but I haven't tested it until now and the one on the 1250 used to work before I put the new motor in and the 14 hp that was in it worked as well. And both the switches on the 1450 and the 1250 I took the motor out of worked, and I still have the switch from the 1250. I do know there are fuses and I know one is for the headlights but I don't know what the other one is for and I'm guessing its the PTO?
Could it be the switch that went bad or do I need to replace my electric PTO? Where should I look first? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you go to the Technical Library and on page #5, download the Q/L Wiring Diagram..??

I went out there and looked at the 1650 and couldn't find anything in the wire. Then I saw that the PTO fuse box didn't have a fuse so I put one in and it worked! The tiller I put on started turning. As for the 1250 it keeps blowing the fuses. I know it blows the fuses for the headlights but I'm not so sure about the PTO. I ran out of fuses.

Are you putting in the correct size fuse? Headlights need a 10A fuse, not sure about the PTO, but probably the same.

The pto uses a slo-blo fuse, not sure the number though.
