Actually, that's not accurate. (With all due respect) The pin on and the QA decks are different, and not interchangeable. I tried. The cast piece is different, and so is the bolt pattern that holds it on. You can't take the QA cast nose, or the brackets off and put them on the early pin on deck. The deck shells are different and it won't bolt up. Same for the rear brackets. Obviously so are the subframes. I just recently tried. I have a beautiful pin on deck, and all the parts off a QA that I scraped. Tried to switch..... no go.

I believe I started my post by saying pin on and qa were different but the point in was trying to make it that qa nf deck will fit a wide frame and a qa wf deck will fit a nf provided the proper undercarriage is used. I will agree that the pin on decks seem to be there own animal.

I had a 42" pin on deck on a qa frame on 125 I sold so I know that works.You have to swap the pickle fork section out.

I wasn't trying to be rude or anything..... I was just stating the difference. I might have misunderstood you too, and I agree. The NF, and WF decks are interchangeable with correct under-carriage.

I was trying to go the other way. Turn a pin-on into a QA. I could do it the way you did, if I had a good pin-on subframe. Don't know where I could get one do you Lew?


To the OP, did you get it leveled?

I think that's the very 125 you sold me. Pulled the deck off and put quick release on it as back-up to my other 125.

Not....still runs but governor malfunctioned. Nothing to slow/regulate motor speed. It's internal and I hadn't the time to pull the 301 and look. The other 125 has new motor and she's all I need for now.
