Josh doesn't need one, he's too far away, I am coming next weekend probably, and it's coming home with me.

Update :
I knew this motor needed a head gasket when I bought it but I didn't know it was this bad. The bore has no scratches in it and the piston edge is not eaten away. It wasn't smoking when I had it running so hopefully a head and fin cleaning is all it will need.
Nice lp head.I may leave it on there...
Tomorrow's project

So I put it all back together, it has a .010 piston in it so it has been taken apart before, and we have a knock at idle ,mid throttle knock.
No smoke though, needs clutch work, teaser spring, one axle seal leaks. The mower deck is quiet and cuts well.
Has a newer style steering column.
Good thing I have a spare 10hp.
I would like to get it running with the newer motor, put the cab on and use it for dedicated snow removal.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
