Made this hitch today
Made this sleeve hitch today for my 1200. I just tack welded it until I can get to a mig or 220 arc welder , all I have is a piddly 100amp. Think will work ok, may brace up the corners. Next I'm going to make lift arms for my 1211, the PO kept the ones that came on it.

When I bought my 100 the po had made a sleeve hitch that looked just like yours with one difference. It had 2 arms on both side. I bent it. So I bent it back and put braces in the corners. Works good. I think I would add one piece connecting both sides and welded to the back of where the straps hook to it. Look at one of Jeff in Pa's sleeve hitches and you'll see what i'm talking about ( you probably already do).

Yeah I was thinking of doing that, ran out of steel. I had one 4" piece and had to get the rod and tube this afternoon. I will go get some more and beef it up.

Here I braced up the hitch some more . It's all tacked together , just have to finish welding it together.

looks pretty good should be strong , I like the angle edges more then square but throw some paint on it and it should be all set

Thanks guys I like the look of the angle edge hitches better too , but it's easier to build one like this.
