thinking of building a weedwacker to go behind my cub
I got the idea from a previous post. a member on here said that he used. 155 weedeater string in place of these blades on this deck. what I'm going to do is take and build a frame it will hold three spindles hubs off on old mower deck build the same type of blade system that he was talking about and power it with a 10 and a half horse Briggs and Stratton and build a 3 point system with a tilting mechanism where I could mow slopes with my cub it would have approximately a 96 inch cut when finished I'll have some pictures soon to post to the frame that I've already got built so far and keep you updated as I go along

Sounds cool! Just to add to that line of thinking, I always thought it would be cool to have a string trimmer head mounted on the front corner of a mower deck. Have it be able to drop in place to engage, and run off the mower belt. That way you could edge around the house, trees, etc..

I've got an old Sears suburban with a deck on it that I'm probably going to take the 3 spindles off ofI hope to get all this fabricated. I gotta Cub Cadet 2000 MTD that I'm with now but I I've just recently got to 582 with a creeper gear that I want to build a 3 point hitch for and have it be my main plowing tractor I've got all the attachments in three point. I've got the big Sears back blade, moleborde bottom plow with the rolling Couplow, cultivators, and a bedding plow, also I've got a rear tine tiller that mounts on the threepoint.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
