Default Finally a deal was made..

After a lot of haggling and wrangling, I finally worked out the deal on the 782D. I negotiated an even trade for my 123. You gotta love the barter system. She's not pretty, but the seat is pretty good. I haven't done anything with it yet, but as previously stated, it does and I have heard it run.

I can not wait to get started on it. I hope Todd is up for a blue million questions... lol

Sweet deal Earl! Time to pull the fender pan to pull and clean the tank. I use some of the wifey's Dawn dish soap, flush it good and let it dry. Change both tank bushings, replace the fuel shut off valve (951-0171) and run all new lines up front.

Then there are the filters, I use Wix.
Air=46270
Pre-fuel=33972
Fuel=33389
Oil=51064
Hydro=51410
I run Rotella T 15W-40

Then the starter, gp upgrade.
Glow Plugs = NGK Y-103V 2031
China Starter = http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Starter-...ht_5711wt_1362 ****this starter will work but it is not a gear reduction type

I need to find, or maybe someone has, the water pump and and fan belt numbers.
I also ordered some of the ball bushings the other week if you need a few.

Good luck, take pics and keep us posted.

Earl,
Congrats on the smoker! Sounds like a good trade to me. I'm more of a wide frame fan, though. Prolly take a little slack for that one.

Thanks guys, I wasn't quite ready to get this machine. About a million other projects and still not back to work; the guy i traded with wad kind of pushy, guess he needed a runner.

So I plan to have it my winter project behind the 126 completion. I have kinda fallen behind with all the physical issues as of late but I will be back on point sooner than later.. at least I hope...

why do you recommend that starter instead of the gear reduction unit?

V30, I'm not sure. I was thinking that that was a reduction starter but after looking at it IDK. I put one on my 882 that was about the same price but now that company doesn't have any listed on Ebay under Cub Cadet. This is what it looked like with the original on the right.

I don't see a reduction starter listed under "Cub Cadet Diesel" on Ebay so I did a search on the part # Todd M. did on his original conversion (Kubota 37560-63011 or 37560-63012) and came up with this.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Starter-Kubo...ht_2498wt_1362

I believe this is the correct starter we need on the D600's & D640's. Is that correct? Sorry, I didn't intend to give out the wrong information again.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
