Fuel sending unit?
Has anyone ever put a fuel sending unit in a 2182 tank, I know there's always a way, but was hoping that someone has done it to speed things along. I have a nice 1.5" fuel gauge and I'm planning to replace the dash with all gauges. I have found several adjustable units, but I just need some sort of starting point...

Just my 2 cents but the low fuel light is pretty simple and reliable. First pic shows how I did my 2182. Low fuel light is in the center. Second pic shows how I did my 1782. On the 1782 I retained the factory idiot lights that include the low fuel light.

I put one in my 1250 tank..its pretty easy, just have to bend the float so it reads correct...the sending unit i used was out of a boat....works pretty, i got some white faced gauges that light up, and they match the paint (by luck)... its nice though, i would think youll like it...

That's kind of what I was thinking. Even with the seat moving back and forth I should have just enough room. I was going to cut the electrical connector down and solder the wire on direct since it is whats sticking up so high.
