No idea what they go for now but at the time it was CHEAP, instant building and no building permits required.

Since we are talking cold and winter how about batteries? I can't promise that the cub will be inside all winter. Even if it is, my garage is not heated so it gets pretty darn cold in there to. When I was reading about battery tenders I read that if it gets to cold their voltage just is not enough to keep them charged. I was hoping for some advice. I don't have any problem keeping it plugged in outside all winter if I need to.

I keep my 2182 in an unheated garage and it starts and runs fine with little to no warm up. I remove the hose that goes from the air cleaner to the dash tower so it pulls warm under hood air in the winter.

Bought one about 2 years ago best investment i have ever made mine holds two but, great thing is you can get ones that with multiple banks...best investment i have ever made. My 782 was in a unheated no insulation garage all winter and never did I have to crank it more than twice to get her started.

Nice! This got really good reviews and I really like the quick connects so I can just plug the tractor's battery right in without much fuss at all. Thanks, I'll be picking one of these up soon!

I have 3 of these and they work great so far. I did have one fail but I've had one on my bike for 5 or 6 years and it's still going and they also do 6 volts too. They were $29 in the store the other day when I looked at them but maybe I need to order another or 2.

We use to use stick/strap on battery heaters on the CC's in Canada.
One on the battery and one on the rear axle housing and one one the oil pan.
All made to be on full time and all wired to one common 120v plug.
