That is awesome, very inventive and works great. We scrap a lot of forklifts at work that have orbital valves, torque generators, small single and double acting cylinders, priority valves, etc. I am now thinking more and more about this, great job.

Thanks guys, I have been thinking about sketching up some quick drawings with measurements for brackets needed for the steering setup. if anyone would be interested let me know by pm or this thread. Otherwise I wont go to the trouble.
Due to the placement (happened by chance) of most things steering related, this design should fit a narrow frame along with all wide frame gt's that have a hydraulic pump source. It seems that most could care less about hydraulic powered add-ons to a cub but those that like to think out side the box, it has beeen fun. |

No prob, I can get you the parts list fairly fast, drawing up the brackets will be a lil later. Work is crazy right now, but you would be able to stock pile parts for a bit.

Hey all, I have had a few requests regarding what parts are needed for power steering. Here are the major pieces to get ya started and the location I purchased them.
Not going to lie, it takes some enginuity to get everything to fit, and some skill with a tubing bender. However, I do believe you could do a lot of the steel lines with hoses instead of hard line. Using hoses over the brake line will make it more expensive, but might make it a faster process. You will need some short pieces of steel, 3/8" tubing bender, tubing cutter, flaring tool, small assortment of nuts & bolts. Here's a list to get you started. Im gunna hafta make a list of the smaller easier to find stuff when I get a lil time. Leme know if you have any questions. EBAY 1-John deere 318 power steering column 175.00 1-Quietline hydraulic lift cylinder 40.00 MIDWEST CONTROL PRODUCTS. Internet 1- 1/2" inline ball joint 13.00 MCMASTER-CARR. Internet 4- sae 6 90° jic male x jic female swivel 12- sae 6 (3/8") jic flare nut (50695k226) 1.18 ea. 12- sae 6 (3/8") jic ferrul (50695k218) .85 ea. 1- sae 6 jic tee (50695k282) 9.03 ea. 1- 1/2" tie rod end (6058k271) 5.53 ea. 1- 1-3/4" x 5/16" u-bolt (3201t34) 1.10 ea. 1- 3/4" locking jam nut NAPA, O'Rileys, etc... 3- 3/8" x 60" brake line 9.00 ea. The rest of the parts are common bolts, small common dimensional iron, and hydraulic hoses. Again, let me know if you need anything, hope this helps! Trent |

Installed my newly restored 44c deck on Rescue11 1450. I had tore down the hayban and needed to mow once more. Worked great so much better than it use to.

Have to add that the deck and hanger went on with out any mods. Power steering does not interfere with anything!
