HELP! 48" deck is screwed.
I was given a 48" deck and one of the rear wheel brackets is snapped as most all are. I've been searching for a very nice thread of a man who really did a swell job of fixing his up and cannot find it. Anybody have any tips or know about that thread?

Dad took a piece of 1X3X48 and welded it the entire length of the inside of the bottom/back of my deck, then welded the wheel bracket back on after it rusted out two years ago. He said that way when it rusts off again there is something else to weld to again. It doesn't interfere with blade movement or cutting appearance. Mind you this won't work if you have the baffles installed; mine are long gone.
