Default Valve/cam ?

I have an early k321 with the different size valves and was told to put an 18hp can in it until we discovered the smaller exhaust valve should I still do it or not. I'm still learning this whole mechanizing thing so you guys tell me what y'all think

I'd stay with the small exhaust valve. a LP head would fit right on. I've never figured out Kohler's theory with same size valves. in most engine's the exhaust valve is smaller. I'd get a regrind from one of the cam grinders, they are better than the K361 cam. the 361 cam is getting pretty pricy to.

are you going to pull with it? there's some gain but to get the most out of it you need to do some other work as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
