New member in PA
Hello all! Already made a first post in the PA members thread but thought I should also say "hey" here too.
Just picked up a 1250 the other day for $150 that was planned to be a "flip" but after getting it home have decided maybe it's time to get into a Cub. I had a 1000 (Stock) class and 100 (NQS Stock Altered) as a puller in the past, no longer pull. I have never had a Cub to mow with till now. I have always had dare I say . . . Bolens Tube frames. I have all the attachments for those but I'm getting tired of always working on something before using it as well as parts are getting hard to come by. So my plan is to use the 1250 for my mowing tractor and the other machine for my other duties, possibly slowly swapping totally over to the Cub as I pickup attachments. So far I've downloaded the manuals I need but can't seem to find a Parts Manual for the 1250? Picture of my project: |

So after getting this machine up and running this past weekend, I've used it twice now to finish up my leaves for the season and am now officially addicted to Cubs!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
