Theres a galvanized pipe running across my driveway and a few years back before I put more gravel down I caught the pipe with the edge of the blade and it stopped the tractor dead, I suddenly found myself laying on the hood which hurt a good bit.

I agree that would suck. Pride might be a little hurt if anyone seen ya fly over or on hood.

A few years ago before I knew what spring trip was I was plowing an old concrete hog lot where we often park stuff to get it out of the way in 3rd gear WOT and hit something that lifted the rear of the tractor in the air, lurched my gut into the steering wheel, and bent the scraper edge. I hurt for quite a few days and the scraper edge never did get fixed.

several years ago i was plowing a commercial lot that had test wells all over,we used to call them land mines because when you hit them things went boom.anyhow it was a usual 10 hour straight shift and i was in the skid steer and hit one and it stopped the machine and i almost flew out the front over the safety bar..... needless to say that woke me up better then black coffee

I have similar stories that I would rather not talk about.

Take the extra springs off and plow safely. Pushing snow is like anything else, once you start having fun, you won't be paying as much attention and BOOM, you'll hit something solid.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
