Do you guys think this 1772 is worth the money if everything looks as good in person as the pics look?
I am looking into ways I can get this home with me. Opinions please.

If this had a plastic front end, I would be all over this. I'm a little over an hour from Courtland and I would love to go check it out for you, but kinda swamped here. Maybe this weekend? Looks pretty sweet to me

No cub is worth $3K as far as I'm concerned. It's not like they are rare. Diesels sell all the time. No 3pt, no rear PTO, $2K is pushing it. I know, I know..... they were big $$ new, but that's a 26yr old machine and the only thing it has is dual remotes. It's your money, but better priced units are out there. You can find them fully optioned for less......

I am in contact with the seller, I'm goin to check it out tomorrow. I agree Jon it seems high on the price, but I do like the hours, and condition looks good in the pictures.
I will have to find out how firm he is on the price.

You are right, 1989 model only. I wish it had some more of the desirable features, but if it did it would be gone already.

I have been looking for some 1772 production #s but have not come up with any numbers what so ever on that. Anybody know how many 1772s were produced?
Looking at some of the production dates CCC made several models for only 1 year.

1772s are pretty rare, not sure if it's worth it with no options.

Thanks for your opinions guys, I'm right with you on the price being too high. I bet he will kick me off of his property when I offer 2k.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
