Yes, Onan parts are pretty pricey..... if you can find them. You hear me rant about the price of the Mag 18's and KT's all the time. They're cheaper than Onan's to work on! Good news is, just like most all GT's.... if you are good with tools, you can repower them.
![]() Under edit: I don't know much about GT's outside of CC and ..... umm..... some other less tasteful colored ones. The FF series, especially the FF24 was a monster. I had to Google it. Says they were produced to compete with the 400 JD's. Funny thing is, they actually look pretty similar. I remember as a kid seeing them in the Sears catalog and thinking how cool they were. Funny.... I forgot all about them. Be cool to see one of them, a 400 and a 982 go head to head at a plow day! |

Those are very nice machines and that is way cheap. Get some pics and if it's pretty nice I'm sure you could flip it and make some money.

I wish. I missed one a few years ago with a cat 0 plow for $500 but it had the smaller engine. IIRC they were built to compete with the 400 Deere and 982. They are pretty cool looking too and are heavy duty.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
