Your post says "Am I crazy?" I say yes you are, if you don't find a way to get it and keep it! The diesels do sip the fuel and the exhaust smell doesn't bother me as much as gassers. My 882 with a 50" deck will cut my 1.5 acre lawn in less than half the Diesel than my gas mowers will do. But you will not be cutting grass with the FEL. I have both gas and diesel Kubota 3 cyl engines and they are the nicest smoothest running small engines I have ever owned. My vote is get it ASAP and keep it! Great find and good luck.
