Default New To Site - Need Help

I am new to these forums but I love Cub cadets and seen some interesting things on this site. I am not sure how to navigate my way around on this site so any advice would be appreciated.

I own about 12 cub cadets. I have an original, 2-100's, a 72, 2-149's (my favorite), a 1250, a 1450, a 125, a 122, a 102, and a couple parts tractors. I bought a 1250 about 5 years ago for mowing my lawn and was immediately addicted.

I just finished my first original. I posted a picture of it. I made the sulky from some parts I had.

Welcome to the site!
That's a very nice looking Cub. What do you use the sulky for?

Default Sulky

The sulky is for my wife to ride on in the dairy fest we have in the summer, she just doesn't know it yet. When I first got it I hooked it up real fast and was pulling it in the driveway (while she was watching) and the pin slipped out of the towbar and it fell backwards. After seeing that she said, "I ain't getting on that thing". It rides pretty nice behind the tractor now.

I believe that I'd weld a "T" handle to the draw bar so she'd have something to hold on to!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
