Ended up putting the front end on a 106 instead. I didn't quite have all the parts I needed for the 100 so it was installed on a 106 I had sitting around. They do turn good, I had to changed from using the original tierod end to using a yoke. The bolt kept wanting to turn and the yoke fixed that problem.

Here is the first one I made also on a 106. Have since sold both. Still have plans to finish the 100. Have had other projects come up, along with pulling every weekend that takes up most of my time. It becomes almost a full time job keeping six pullers running.

That turned out great, just like the kit they sell on eBay.
One question. From the first pic you posted, does this make the front end a little higher then the rear with the 3.50x6's? |

It does a little when using the 23 rear tires. I personally put 26s on the back but removed them before selling. The first one I made not sure if they put 26s on back or not. Havnt seen it since the day it sold. I sold the second one to a good friend and he put 26s back on. The 26s make them sit almost perfectly level.

What do you use for steering rod?

Just a lengthened drag link with a few bends, it has to attach to the opposite side or the steering would be backwards.....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
