Your not going to get a good cut with mulching blade is the grass is wet.

I don't mow if it's wet. We have some high moisture grass right now with all the rain of late!! My stock blades don't do bad, blow out maybe 3-4 feet, just leave longer clippings that lay on top and just make it look a little rough. I mow the Mother in Laws yard which was mine before, it is thick and growing fast. She "has" to pay me even though I tell her not to, so mowing twice a week won't work. It needs a two a week job right now with this weather, that would solve the problem. I just walk over the bad areas with the blower and scatter them out and that helps. I have some gators coming so next cut will be with them and I will update my results with gators on a 44C with pulley upgrade. Thanks for the reply's.

Well, got the blades and yesterday I finished early so came home to work here. Pulled the deck off and cleaned it good. Had some buildup under where I have been lazy and not cleaned it but wasn't bad. Installed the new gators, lift angle looked close to the originals but the old ones had been sharpened a lot or were smaller on the ends from the start. Grass was tall again with perfect growing weather. The cut was better but still had some buildup in the thickest areas. Doesn't seem to be as much as it would hve been before so I think there was an improvement. I figure blocking off chute would help them mulch better but till leaf season gets here I can live with what I have. Worth the price if you don't need them.....jury is still out. If you need blades I don't think they are any worse. Will update after a few mows.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
