Default Cub Cadet hydraulic 30" tiller

How much should a guy expect to pay for a 'little used' 30" belt driven Cub Cadet hydraulic tiller?

The owner is looking for an offer but I have no idea what is reasonable for one. Can you help me with a ballpark figure/price range? TIA

Do you have a picture of this tiller?

Yes I have pictures and it looks to be in good condition. I may post some photos if I can first make a deal with the owner.

Welcome to OCC.

Does the owner have a copyright on these pictures and will not allow you you post them?

How do you expect anyone to appraise anything without seeing it?

We don't even have a model number to go off of.

Agreed.
He might be concerned that someone will do a google search for the image and buy it before he can. Not sure, but a picture would certainly help with any appraisal.

Sam Mac, thank you for the data point - just what I was after. The tiller I'm looking at looks identical to the one in your posting, condition and all.

Here is the tiller I was interested in. After multiple calls over several days and three messages left, I get no response. I give up.

Steve

Lowgap is only a couple miles from where I live if you are interested in the one I posted about. Maybe I could help.

Sam Mac Thanks for the offer to help (yet again) but I will be looking for one closer to home. A hydraulic tiller is a 'want' not a need, I have other tillers, I have to remember to keep it in perspective. Perhaps one day just the right deal will come along and maybe not - either way, I'm happy.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
