Default 147 hydro control rod?
here is a pick of the control rod off my 147, this is the one that runs to the brake from the cam. Is it supposed to have a bend in it?

Patton Acres has one that fits many and is not bent. Not sure if all narrow frames are the same rod though.

Upon further comparison there are some differences between yours and that one from Pattons.

From 147 chassis manual:

Double 07 that is not the same part. The piece shown from patton acres attaches to the disc brake assy on the rear axle. It sits outside of the frame.

Nighttow 1 I am quite sure there is not suppose to be a bend in that rod.

Yea that one from Patton's is for an 1800 something CC.
Here is a pic of the "speed control rod" there on the right in a 147, does not look bent here either.

Mine is just a 1/4" rod "L" shaped with adjustment threads on forward end and a cotter pin at caliper. #10 in picture.
My bad that style rod and spring are on certain wide frame tractors. My 1711 has that set up. My 1572 has a solid rod.
