2015 L> Extravaganza
The 2015 L> Extravaganza will be June 11, 12, and 13 at the Fairgrounds in Evansville, IN. There will be exhibitors from throughout the Midwest, as well as from as far away as Texas. If you can attend I’m sure you’ll have a great time. Please stop by my tent and say hello. I'll have my H-900 groundsaw, Danuser digger and Haban mower there. Hope to see you there.

I'm loaded and ready to head to the show tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to get there early enough to beat the heat. If you come to the show, please stop by and say hello. I'm always looking to meet fellow collectors.

Over 600 garden tractors showed up at the Extravaganza. It was a great show. I talked to a lot of old friends and made a lot of new ones.

Paul,
Could we see more pics of the Danhauser post hole digger? I think it is worthy of the picture of the week. How and where did you find it? Thank you, Mike

Mike, I have pictures and the whole story of how I got it and built it to fit a Cub Cadet on my website at:
http://www.cubcadetman.com/cc/catego.../danuser-cd-1/ I also had an article published about the CD-1 in the 2014 Sept/Oct issue of Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
